First of all, the Philippine Consulate-General in Guangzhou conveys its firm support to the Government and People of China in this extraordinary times of COVID-19.  

We commend China’s robust disease prevention and control measures to combat the virus and to ensure the safety of everyone in this country, Chinese and foreigner alike.  

The current challenge is not insurmountable if countries face these difficulties together.  

As friends, the Philippines in China have provided the assistance with each other during these trying times.  

As we move forward, I mean the current challenges, our cooperation in a broader framework must continue.  The Philippines is committed to the ASEAN and China Dialogue Relationship, and we know the importance of the China-ASEAN Expo as one of its concrete activities.

Mindful of our countries’ health and travel protocols, we will renew our commitment to enhance trade and investment relations.  

And I ensure the CAEXPO Secretariat of the Philippine’s support.  

In this regard, I express the hope for a successful and safe 17th CAEXPO this year.

The Covid-19 Virus is not just a problem for any particular nation, but is proof that this world is connected in many dimensions. ASEAN and China, therefore, need to join hands to overcome this crisis. 

In the past few months, I have seen the intention of the Chinese government to take effective measures to control the situation.

I strongly believe that Thai entrepreneurs should be confident and ready to attend the 17th CAEXPO in September.

On this occasion, I wish the CAEXPO great success.
